Report Formats
You can download usage reports in multiple formats. For COUNTER reports, available format options, depending on the report, are XLSX, TSV, and XML.

Microsoft Excel file format. This format is available for both COUNTER-compliant reports and reports that do not adhere to the COUNTER Code of Practice. If you open a report in Microsoft Excel, you will see that the dates are not in the same format prescribed by COUNTER. For example, COUNTER prescribes: the date the report runs should be yyyy-mm-dd format. In Excel, the date you run your report is mm/dd/yyyy format. Excel also displays the month and year at the top of each column as mm-yy instead of mm-yyyy. |

Comma separated values. This is a text format that uses commas to separate fields and quotation marks to enclose field values. |
